Maybelline Up in Smoke and Gilded in Gold Palettes for Holiday 2015

Maybelline Up in Smoke Palette & Gilded in Gold Palette

Maybelline created this limited edition palette that’s so much more than just eye shadow. In addition to the four eye shadows, there’s a liner, blush, highlighter, and lip color. There is also another limited edition palette called Gilded in Gold with lighter neutrals if that’s more your style.  Both palettes are very affordable.

The pink powder blush from the Up in Smoke palette for my completion is a little too pink so I preferred the Holiday Kit in Gilded in Gold. Holiday Kit in Gilded in Gold includes nude, gold and bronze eye shades, deep apricot blush, bronzer and red lipstick. You can get this from  $14.99 at ulta.commtm0ndawnjuxmtk0mdu4nzyy

Shop Miss A

I’m sure that most of you are no stranger to Mecca or Sephora, but recently I discover a little beauty! Shop Miss A. Everything is $1usd.

That’s right you read it right $1usd with shipping free if you spend over $30, US only. Shipping to isn’t free but at $10 its not bad. I was really excited about this site because it has plenty of Elf products that aren’t stocked here. The only issue is international shipping takes a long.

I’ve ordered my products and now we wait.

So the site is:

This post was not sponsored or paid for, I just wanted to share the love

Guerlain Perles des Neiges Meteorites

For many the Meteorites range is the holy grail and this recent release is already sparking interest in the beauty community.

Price: $80 US –  Limited Edition

What the packaging says:
What it is:
A pearly-white Christmas bauble filled with the iconic Météorites illuminating powder pearls to enhance the face and décolleté with a radiant glow.

What it does:
These Météorites pearls are made of light-reflecting iridescent pearly particles that leave the skin looking radiant with an illuminating glow. It features pearls in beige hues to even out the skintone, champagne to illuminate, and golden for a subtle, sunkissed effect. These pearls are infused with light-correcting nacres that harmoniously blend together to create a pure and correcting light for perfectly tailored luminosity, creating an ultrasoft powder that smooths the complexion for a unique, soft finish. These powder pearls reveal the iconic violet fragrance of Météorites.

My thoughts:

It’s super expensive, as gorgeous as it is the price tag is something to really think about when  the Guerlain Teint Beige is so similar and only $58 US or MAC Snowglobe isn’t a bad dupe either at $26 US. It’s packaged in a snowglobe-like container that has a flattened bottom to prevent it from rolling about and the top of the lid has a lightly frosted, which is super cute. Its more of a finishing powder than  a highlighter to be honest but it last the whole day.  Some people can’t live without it and some people don’t understand the hype. I’m in the middle, I like it but the price range makes me want to cry.

Sephora Collection x Karen Walker Collection

A collaboration collection between Sephora and designer Karen Walker for the holidays.

Beauty Brush Set + Stand – $125 US

It’s limited-edition and a  Sephora-exclusive. The brush handles feature a tortoise shell pattern and feature 24 karat gold plated accents. The stand is also plated in 24 karat gold. The packaging features a filigree design with Karen Walker’s signature hidden imagery. I’m not a big fan of tortoise shell to be honest, but there is an understatement of elegance with the new six-piece brush set with a display stand.

This set contains:
– Powder brush
– Large angled foundation brush
– Angled blush brush
– Shadow brush
– Crease brush
– Display stand

Mirror Compact – $48 US

Again it’s limited-edition and a  Sephora-exclusive.The mirror is double sided with one side normal and the other 3X magnification. It features tortoise shell pattern plated with 24 karat gold. It comes with a faux leather zip pouch for easy carrying and protection.

It’s a very cute set however, I didn’t think I’ll be buying it, partly because of the tortoise shell and partly because I’m not in love with the brushes, also maybe I have just dropped all my life saving on the Real Tech Bold Metal brush set.

The Night Noodle Markets

It’s on again and it’s delicious. Once we get over the fact that there is more non-noodle dishes than noodle dishes therefore they should really change the name. We can enjoy the delicious food!

I love the night noodle market, it’s just the one event that has been planned at well, it spaced out enjoy that you can enjoy your time and your walk, you don’t feel like your going to walk into someone any given moment and of course the food is awesome.

Great thing about this year is there are even more food, more BARS and more nights. So they year the night market returns for 18 days of 56 stalls and 3 bars.
