Its almost summer and this is a serious topic ladies and gentlemen, Sunscreen. Scientific evidence supports the benefits of using sunscreen to minimize short-term and long-term damage to the skin from the sun’s rays. Here is a quick list of sunscreen you can buy

Anthelios XL Ultra-light SPF 50+

I use this one, I find it isn’t to oily or greasy. I find that I can easy add it to my beauty routine.  It’s extremely lightweight has fast absorbing formula. It doesn’t leave the white residue some sunscreens do and I can apply it under my makeup.

Kardashian beauty

A while ago priceline had a 50% haircare sale, I know I mention Priceline all the time, but I can’t help it they have a store near my work and the staff their are amazing.

Anyways I was happily spending all my money when I came across the recent in stock Kardashian beauty range and well I thought what the hell, it’s 50% off.

http://www.ulta.com

The Full range includes hair brushes, Ceramic Hairstyling Irons, hair dryers but they don’t sell that at Priceline (yet).

I brought Take 2 Dry shampoo,  Black Seed Dry Oil and Smooth Styler Blow Dry.

What I’m interested in trying K-Body Volume Foam, Pure Glitz Hairspray and Take 2 Dry Conditioner. I have never dry conditionered before I like the idea of it.

So first impressions of the range, I don’t like the smell of Black seed.  The packaging is adorable and really glamorous. It is however on the pricey side of things.

Kardashian Beauty Smooth Styler Blow Dry Cream

What the packaging says: Kardashian Beauty Smooth Styler Blow Dry Cream is a lightweight smoothing cream that creates sleek and smooth styles with restored shine. This light hold moisturizing cream with Black Seed Oil eliminates frizz and flyaways while helping hair resist humidity and thermal styling damage, keeping hair chic and glamorous.

What I think: It is really lightweight, the Black seed smell isn’t overpowering in this one and you will actually need a lot of this is prevent frizz and flyways, but then again my hair is really long. I used it when my hair was damp and then blow dried it. My hair did feel all nice and soft after.

Kardashian Beauty Black Seed Dry Oil

What the packaging says: Kardashian Beauty Black Seed Dry Oil is a nutrient rich treatment and styling aid that rejuvenates and nourishes hair so it appears strong, thick, smooth and gloriously shiny. This ultra light formula is easily absorbed, instantly nourishing and smoothing to the hair with no residue left behind. Experience the luxury of pure Black Seed Oil for the ultimate glamorous finish.

What I think:  The black seed oil smell is super strong with this one. In saying that I have grown to like the smell LOL. I use this on dry hair and I find the oil non-greasy and lightweight. It makes my hair so sleek and nice. The Black Seed Dry Oil appears to be flagship product of the line.  Kim herself has said that she uses it on her daughter North’s hair to tame it when she’s styling it and she said she used it on her body during that Paper Magazine photo shoot. So Guess what I did I put it on my legs and it was fantastic.  Bottom line it makes your hair shiny and healthy looking.

Kardashian Beauty Take Two Dry Shampoo

What the packaging says: Kardashian Beauty Take Two Dry Shampoo revives limp, lifeless hair by instantly absorbing excess oil and impurities that weigh hair down. This fast drying waterless spray, formulated with rejuvenating Black Seed Oil, extends the life of your style by refreshing the roots and providing a pure foundation for layered styling, creating the ultimate finish.

What I think: I’m in love with this dry shampoo, more in love with any dry shampoo I have ever used. I feel as if I just have the right hair type for the product because I know some people aren’t raving about it as much as I am, but I LOVE IT. I would even say using this makes it feel like I just washed my hair. IT’S AMAZING. The best part of it though is that there is no residue on my hair, whether I use it day of or the night before. My God I love this. Dirty hair I don’t care.

I when I got it thought it was going to be like every other brand however, I have been really surprised with the range and I love it. I highly recommend it. I know it is pretty expensive here in Australia but it is seriously worth giving it ago.

Pictures of me and my hair. Enjoy

 anyways love you xoxo

Fake a Clean House

Sometimes you should have cleaned your place weeks ago but you still haven’t and now you’re living in your own filth. I know I have a habit of just throwing my clothes all over the floor and when I’m going out and rushing around my beauty products are everywhere. So here are some tips and tricks to fake it.

Things to focus on are bathrooms and lounge area.

Stuff of the floor?

Shove it in a basket, once your guests leave, you can empty that basket right back on the floor.

Stuff on tables/counters?

Books and magazines can be stacked they look cuter this way. Everything else put them in a basket or bag, you can empty that basket right back once they leave.

Dirty dishes?

If you have dishwasher LOAD IT. If not, neatly stack your dishes and stash it all in the refrigerator or oven.

Dirty bathroom?

Wipe down sink and mirrors, top and underside of the toilet seat, the flusher button, and the top of the tank. Clean your toilet by spraying it, let it sit, brush it then flush it. Finally put out fresh towels

Finally my favourite trick:

Light a candle

A candle does many things. It makes your house smell amazing and it mask all the dirty musky smells, and it gives your home a feeling that it always smells this nice.

Product recommendation:

Air wick life scents jar candle in winter moments

If all fails start vacuuming before they come and just apologise that the house is a mess and you were just cleaning it

Stop Sleeping in your Make up

I’ve been there its 5am, it’s been a long night of dancing and drinking. All you want to do now is just lie down and count sheep. We all know that sleeping in makeup is bad for your skin. Yet we all keep doing it but NO we must stop!

Sleeping in makeup is one of the worst things you can do to your skin! It blocks your pores, leaving oils trapped inside. Which guess what ladies…. leads to bacteria build up, breakouts, and enlarged pores!!! Not only that it can cause aging ladies…. aging!!

So next you plan on skipping your skincare routine before bedtime think again.

If you know your gonna have a big one prepare yourself for your lazy self, put makeup wipes/remover and at least a good moisturizer by your bed. So you can at least remove the makeup in bed and do a little skin loving.

The best makeup remover you can use is micellar water. It removes all traces of make-up – even eyeliner and mascara. To get the most out of your micellar water, squirt a generous amount on a soft cotton pad and wipe your face repeatedly until your skin is clean and clear of any traces of dirt and make-up.

The Commandments of using Dry Shampoo

I dye my hair red and to minimise colour fading I don’t always wash my hair so dry shampoo is a must.  I mentioned it in am earlier post Beauty Tips for lazy people. So today I thought I would do Commandments of using Dry Shampoo

DO use it the night before! This minimises the white powdery residue and allows time for the dry shampoo to soak in all the oils. Your hair produces oil whilst you sleep so using dry shampoo the night before absorbs the oil and leaves hair fresh come morning. ( This tip could possibly change your life!)

DON’T spray it all over your head as if it was hairspray. Unless grey hair is the look you’re going for. Not targeting areas or just spraying aimlessly will just make you look like you have exploded a packet of flour over your head.

DO use a comb to make a number of partings across your hair – spray parting, along the roots. This gets the dry shampoo exactly where you need it and minimises the white powdery residue. Massage with fingers.

DON’T instantly start massaging you hair, allow 5-10 minutes before you massage it in, so that the dry shampoo can soak up the oils

DO use a bristle brush is better with dry shampoo and helps work the formula in more

DON’T use dry shampoo on wet hair. It doesn’t work like that dry mean DRY. Dry shampoo is intended to absorb oil from the scalp, adding it to damp hair will do nothing for you.

DO use a hair dryer to fix your hair if you put too much dry shampoo in your hair, just blow-dry it a little bit and massage it through.

DON’T touch your hair once you have massaged it into your hair, your fingers will make it greasy

Washing your hair too much, it can actually produce more oil, so try washing less frequently and use a dry shampoo in between for maintenance. This will save your hair colour and your Hair

My favourite brands of dry shampoo are Batiste and TRESemme, click the picture and it will take you to their website. I like them because they don’t break the bank and they do what they are meant to.

NYFW – Spring/Summer 2016 hair and makeup

Hair and makeup styles that I will steal from theNew York Spring Fashion Show

Let’s start with hair. These are the styles I’ll definitely try once and tame my mane!

Stylish ponytails with a twist

Festival/ Beach hair

Beach hair is always harder for me because my naturally straight hair never wants to play. My hair has 2 modes straight or heat styled.. there is no soft natural waves, BUT I will try anyways

 70’s do’s

I love the 50’s 60′ and 70’s hair styles, I think its because I love a good victory roll.

I think the biggest makeup trend that I love is the effortless beauty, with plenty of designers and MUA opting for the minimal makeup look, While there were plenty of outgoing and bold looks, this one I will try.

What looks are you guys gonna steal?
